Hope everyone had a good week and enjoyed some of the warm sunshine. We have had a busy one as always, nothing to exciting just 'life' as a family.
One thing we have all become hooked on is Masterchef!! I've never watched any of the cooking shows before but miss S started us off, and we can't get enough. Quite ironic that Miss S likes the show when she's such a fussy eater, and pretty much every dish she tells us 'wow looks great, but I wouldn't eat it' well I hate to kill your cooking dream but its a little hard to create food when you don't want to taste it honey.
We've decided to have one night a week for the kids to cook something, today was 'Raisin biscuits' and they did well, of course Miss S tried one bite and handed it over to Mstr J, oh well next time we'll make chocolate bikkies.
If you've been cooking with your littlies would love to see your pics so post them in, kids will think they're famous lol.
Well it seems as though winter is coming early this year, its been really cold around here this week and the winter woolies have reappeared.
Last saturday i took the kids down to the beach for a little play, a few balloons came with us and we all had a fun time till the sun was gone. Looking forwards to some winter shoots in the coming weeks, with the sun shining it will be beautiful.

If they did forget to arrange a gift for you, a voucher for a photo session would be not only a great gift but would be a good reminder for future years when the photos are hanging on your walls. just a thought...
So nice to see the sunshine today I really didn't want to spend it inside, but with a sick little boy at home not much I could do about it. With Skippy on in the lounge room I retreated to my desk to create some more prettiness for my blog I hope you enjoy.
Some of the images I have been posting this past week were taken during the holidays while searching for unique places to shoot. This particular location was part of a movie set, the kids loved this idea and made the most of it.
I think I speak for most folks in Sydney when I say 'enough is enough already, the dam is FULL'. Its always nice when it starts raining and I think mmm nice and cosy tonight but that feeling is now at saturation point! We need to all do the 'sun dance'.
We had a little sadness in our house yesterday, one of the kids goldfish decided it was time to leave our world and go to fishy heaven.
Meet 'Blacky Twinkles Fish' we couldn't all agree on one name, hope he's around for a while.

Over the past few weeks while we were all enjoying the break from the routine of school and Kindy, I have been out seeking some new special places for my photo shoots. Its amazing what you see when you really 'look' around, and i've found some beautiful places all right here on our northern beaches doorstep.
I have also been discovering some of the perrils of being a photographer and working in the weather and wilderness. I did a shoot on a property one afternoon, the light was lovely, the setting divine, I didn't think much about what I was wearing (denim skirt) so we were having a lovely time until the kind lady next door advised us that dusk was when the snakes came to the small gully looking for froggy dinner, ok thats a wrap everyone. Wait theres more, an hour or so later I was changing to go swimming and noticed blood on my leg, what was this (imagine a very loud 'HELP') a horrible, scary, bloody LEECH. Luckily my darling husband sprang to my aid and removed it immediately, I still cringe at the thought. Lesson learned take a blanket to sit on and wear long pants in these conditions.
